Russian airstrike in Sumy region: City council explains consequences

On the evening of August 25, in the Sumy region, the municipalities of Sumy, where there were no casualties, and Bezdrytska, where there were injured, were attacked.

This was reported in a telegram from the acting mayor of Sumy, Artem Kobzar, Ukrinform reports.

“Updated information. In the Sumy municipality, the enemy attacked a dacha complex. There are no casualties. Unfortunately, residents of the Bezdrytska municipality were injured as a result of the airstrike,” the post said.

All necessary services are on site and medical assistance is being provided to the victims, Kobzar added.

It was previously reported that, according to preliminary data from the RMA, there were dead and wounded in the Russian attack on the Sumy region on the evening of August 25.

Two people were killed in the air raid on the afternoon of August 25. According to the investigation, on August 25, at about 3 p.m., the enemy, using methods of warfare that violated international law, dropped guided bombs on a residential area in the village of Zveza, Shostka district, Sumy region. The enemy attack killed a driver and a passenger on a motorcycle. Two residents of the five-story building were injured.
