This new three-part TV series follows a Frenchman named Stéphane Bourgoin, a serial killer expert with a tragic past and a drive to expose mass murderers. That's how he presented himself, at least, but the truth could be very, very different.

Killer Lies: On the hunt for a true criminal con artist premieres on National Geographic's Nat Geo cable channel on Wednesday, August 28. All three episodes will air back-to-back starting at 8 p.m. ET/PT and running until just before 11 p.m. (then they will all be repeated).
