The trolls in Week 1 of college football were nothing short of petty.
Coach Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes almost lost to the North Dakota State Bison, but Travis Hunter saved the day with his touchdown reception in the fourth quarter that gave Colorado a two-point lead. The Buffaloes defeated the Bison 31-26.
Leading up to the game, North Dakota State trolled Colorado by posting the differences between a buffalo and a bison while also including a link with facts about bison.
But after the Buffaloes defeated their FCS opponent, they used X to highlight the differences in the teams' records.

Colorado's Jab leads college football's best trolls of Week 1.
Vanderbilt shocked the college football world early Saturday when it earned a historic victory in front of its home fans in Nashville, Tenn. The win was the Commodores' first non-conference victory against a power conference opponent since 2017.
Quarterback Diego Pavia threw two touchdowns and ran for another as Vanderbilt pulled off the upset victory in overtime. Pavia accounted for 294 of the Commodores' 371 total yards of offense.
After the game, Vanderbilt took a dig at Virginia Tech's mascot, the Hokies, by adding an image of a roasted turkey to a graphic showing the final score on social media.

In Gainesville, Florida, the Hurricanes were on top as Miami amassed 529 yards of offense en route to a dominant win in the rivalry. Highly touted transfer quarterback Cam Ward quickly meshed with star wide receiver Xavier Restrepo – the pair connected seven times for 112 yards and a touchdown in the second quarter.
The Hurricanes stoked the flames of the intrastate feud on social media after the final whistle by mixing the Gators' legendary nickname in the stadium with the lyrics of the song “Take Over Your Trap.”

Utah left no room for doubt in its season-opening win against Southern Utah.
According to ESPN Stats & Information, the 49-0 victory is the Utes' biggest clean sheet since 2007.
Utah scored 28 points and totaled 513 yards in the second quarter alone. Cameron Rising threw five touchdowns for the Utes – all in the first half – making him the third-most in school history.
As if the win on the field wasn't enough, Utah made sure to annoy their counterparts in their own state with a clever graphic.
